ALBANY — State Police are investigating after a 46-year-old Massachusetts man died after colliding with a stopped tractor-trailer Monday on the Thruway.
David R. Hall, of Pittsfield, Mass., was driving west on Interstate 90 around 5:15 p.m. when his SUV veered onto the shoulder and struck the back of a flatbed tractor-trailer, according to State Police. The right lane was closed for about five hours as police investigated. The truck driver was outside their vehicle at the time and was unharmed. Hall’s only passenger, his dog, was found dead at the scene.
Hall was brought to Albany Medical Center, where he died Tuesday from his injuries. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, troopers said…
