SCHENECTADY — The mother of an 8-year-old boy is demanding answers more than two weeks after a school staff member told her that her son ended up lying face down on a classroom floor last month with a librarian’s foot placed on his back.
But Ashley Rivera said she hasn’t had much luck getting any real answers from school officials as she stood outside the school district’s administrative office on Liberty Street on Thursday. The alleged encounter, which happened on Dec. 23 at Lincoln Elementary Community School, left her only child complaining about back and chest pains.
“I’m here today so I can protest and get my answers,” she told reporters. “I’m in the dark with everything right now. I know nothing.”…
