ALBANY COUNTY, NY (WENY) — An attorney from Schuyler County will serve no jail time after pleading guilty to a larceny charge.
Jessica Saks was the Chief Attorney for the Schuyler and Chemung County Children’s Law Office. In July of 2025, she was charged with Third Degree Grand Larceny, and First Degree Offering a False Instrument for Filing. According to New York State Police, Saks was accused of falsifying receipts and financial records that resulted in being reimbursed by New York State for $19,957 she was not legally entitled to. Police say Saks overstated and forged bills, and received financial benefits that were intended for employees in her office, and also received reimbursement for personal expenses that were not related to her job by the court…
