Montgomery County, NY (WRGB) — A 37-year-old Amsterdam man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following a domestic dispute, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to a residence on Midline Road around 2:01 a.m. on January 10, 2026, for a reported domestic incident. Upon arrival, deputies located Nicholas Angelo, of Amsterdam, and attempted to take him into custody.
Authorities say Angelo resisted arrest and attempted to strike deputies during a physical struggle before deputies were able to restrain him.
