Fuel Prices Continue to Drop in the Capital Region

Motorists in the Capital Region are enjoying lower fuel prices as the new year begins. According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline is now $2.98, a decrease of three cents from last week and 14 cents less than a month ago. The state average stands at $3.00, while the national average is slightly lower at $2.79.

The drop in fuel prices is attributed to stable crude oil prices and strong gasoline supply, even with increased demand during the holiday season.
