Scaffolds & Cranes: Troy’s first zero-emission multifamily apartment building is taking shape

TROY — Over the next few months, Troy’s first entirely electric, zero-emission multifamily apartment building will wrap up its final stage of construction.

The Rosenblum Companies, the developer behind the $22 million project, broke ground on Sol — a four-story, 55,000-square-foot building located at 1818 Fifth Ave. — in June 2025. It’s expected to be completed this summer, with a projected opening of August 2026.

The building was “designed to harmonize with the historic brownstones prevalent in the neighborhood” while taking a sustainable approach to development, Jeff Mirel, principal of the Rosenblum Companies, said in a statement…
