Albany County Winter Fest offers outdoor fun for all

FEURA BUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) — For those who set a goal to spend more time outside in 2026, the Albany County Winter Fest on January 17 may have what you’re looking for. County residents are invited to experience what winter has to offer from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lawson Lake County Park in Feura Bush.

The festival is centered around popular winter activities such as snowshoeing, sledding, and ice fishing, county officials said. Additionally, families can meet a sled-dog team and watch an ice-rescue demonstration by the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

Winter Fest will also have a hot chocolate bar to warm up, along with local food trucks Lorraine’s Nacho Bar & More and Lil’ Piece BBQ. Upon arrival, families can pick up a ticket at the lodge for a free meal.
