Last ex-prison guard in Robert Brooks case takes plea before jury verdict

A former correction officer has entered a surprise guilty plea in the trial related to the beating death of inmate Robert Brooks.

Michael Fisher, the last of ten guards charged in Brooks’ death, pleaded guilty to second-degree reckless endangerment this afternoon. He was originally charged with second-degree manslaughter.
