GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Guilderland woman has spent the last two days picking up the pieces of her life after a fire destroyed her mobile home late Saturday night, killing her four pets. The fire is still under investigation, but unfortunately the home owner will have to replace everything, including the home.

Kim Hoffman has been living in Guilderland for the last 25 years. She shared that she began this past Saturday morning like any other, working at Caruso’s Custom Clothier on Western Avenue. But by nightfall, everything had changed for her.
“A neighbor called me to tell me that there was smoke literally just pouring out of my place,” said Hoffman. “I was at work, got in my car and drove like a crazy woman to get home.”
While driving home, Hoffman had one thing on her mind: her pets. Hoffman had a 12-year-old cat named Shadow, a 10-year-old cat named Meow, a 7-year-old cat named Gypsy and a 9-year-old dog named Tinkerbell. Unfortunately, all of the animals were inside the mobile home at the time of the fire…
