ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Rotterdam Police Department is planning to file charges against the former Mohonasen High School coach accused of hitting a child during practice, Deputy Chief William Male told NEWS10 on Monday. The wrestling coach will reportedly face two charges.
According to the victim’s mother, Desire Rostocki, the incident happened when the 9th grader was “goofing off” during wrestling practice. The coach allegedly hit the student in the mouth.
“I witnessed the video through the school and it’s disturbing,” Rostocki told NEWS10. “I think any time that an adult puts their hands on a child, it’s a little disturbing. But I think it’s a little more jarring when it’s someone that you trust your daughter with and that she trusts as well.”…
