New coworking space to open in Guilderland this spring

GUILDERLAND – A portion of commercial space in a mixed-use building in Guilderland will soon be converted into a coworking facility.

The coworking facility, Elevation Coworks, will take over 3,000 square feet of space at 1434 Western Ave. in Guilderland, which was previously home to a dog grooming gallery, according to a special use permit request submitted to the town of Guilderland. The town granted the special use permit with conditions at a Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Jan. 7.

It’s expected to open in March and serve as “a hub for collaboration, learning and innovation,” located on “one of Albany’s most active commercial corridors near the University at Albany,” according to a narrative submitted to the town by Elevation Coworks owner Samuel Rucker…
