WRGB- National Passenger Safety Week is underway, urging passengers to take an active role in reducing vehicle crashes by speaking up when they feel unsafe.
The initiative, launched by the National Road Safety Foundation in partnership with the nonprofit “We Save Lives,” aims to remind passengers of their critical role in promoting safe driving behavior.
David Reich, director of public relations for the National Road Safety Foundation, emphasized the importance of passenger involvement. “We spend so much time talking to the drivers about being safe drivers and then we realize we’re kind of missing an element here,” Reich said. “So we encourage them, don’t worry about being a backseat driver. If you’re in a car that’s being driven unsafely, speak up.”…
