Heavy snow is expected across eastern New York today and Monday. But how much?

A large, long-lasting storm that developed Friday over the Rocky Mountains has moved into New York, bringing frigid air and a forecast for heavy snow, and complicating travel plans. The National Weather Service is urging drivers to avoid travel if possible and to otherwise use extra caution.
