NYSP respond to dozens of weather-related vehicle incidents

LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Snow piled the streets of the Capital Region over the weekend. Despite some travel restrictions and bans, vehicles still made their way onto local roads.

As of 6 a.m. Monday, New York State Police Troop G, headquartered in Latham, responded to 66 weather-related vehicle incidents. Police said that includes disabled vehicles and collisions.

Only one crash resulted in injuries, which were reportedly non-life threatening.

NEWS10 meteorologists said this was the biggest snowstorm the Capital Region has seen in over five years, and there is still the potential for an additional 1 to 3 inches to fall on Monday. The last major storm dropped about 22.9 inches of snow on December 16 and 17, 2020…
