Troy takes proactive measures to get ahead of snow cleanup

TROY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Crews have been working since Sunday morning to clear roadways in the city of Troy.

Mayor Carmella Mantello told CBS6 the city’s proactive measures — such as closing steep roadways and salting roads ahead of the storm — allowed for a relatively quiet night for emergency services.

“The good news — minor accidents, no major ones,” said Mantello. “We did have a pole taken down over on Pawling Avenue.”…
