SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A boil water order has been issued for a section of Gifford Road in the city of Schenectady after a water main break. The affected addresses are 311-520 Gifford Rd., including Woodlawn School.
Officials said to boil all water for one minute and let cool before using. Bottled water can also be used. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.

The broken water main is undergoing repair. Residents will be notified when bacteria is no longer being detected in the water, and the boil water order has been lifted.
