CAIRO, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A child in Cairo was flown to the hospital Wednesday night, sparking an ongoing investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Cairo Police said they responded to an apartment on Main Street for reports of an unconscious child. According to Greene County 911 Dispatch, the call came in just after 4 p.m. stating a three-year-old child was unconscious and bleeding from the mouth.
That response triggered a heavy police presence from multiple agencies and Life Net being called for transport.
“Cairo Police responded to a call on main Street involving a heavy police presence and a child being flown to an area hospital for medical treatment,” Cairo Police said in a Facebook post. “There is a need for further investigative resources, and the investigation is being led by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.”…
