Have you ever gone out on the weekends and found yourself super hungry as the night was finishing up? Maybe the frat you were at shut down, or just wasn’t as fun as you expected. Well, as Union College students, we always have the old reliable Denny’s just around the corner. No matter how cold it is or what time, you’ll find Union College students taking up most of the seats at our local Denny’s and maybe even doing carry-out orders, too.
Not only is Denny’s convenient, but it is also affordable. Additionally, being open for 24 hours definitely helped it earn its reliable title. Although the wait times can be long, it’s the perfect place for students to chill even during the day, but I’m guessing they make most of their money at night or on the weekends.
My question is, how is this Denny’s still in business? I feel like every time I go in, there is never enough staff, and I always have the same waitress working tons of tables at a time. I’m guessing the history and stories that we get from going to Denny’s keep us coming back. I know all my friends have at least one story of something that has happened at Denny’s. Things like falling off the booth, throwing up in the bathroom, seeing an ex, or just the freezing walk home when you regret your decision to go there in the first place…
