ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A new fantasy café is now open in the former Motor Oil Coffee space in Slip 12 in Albany’s Warehouse District. The Lost Gnome offers food and drink, as well as focuses on comics, trading card games and tabletop role play.

The business is owned by Michaela, Austin and Neal Browne. The Lost Gnome combines Michaela’s passion for food and Austin and Neal’s passion for comics and games.
According to Michaela Browne, the café’s motto is “The Lost Gnome. Where friends are found!” She said they aim to build a community where all feel welcome.

The Lost Gnome opened to the public on January 23. The café menu includes a variety of coffee drinks, tea, hot chocolate, sandwiches, soup, salad, and more. The Lost Gnome also sells comics, trading card games (such as Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering), accessories, figurines, and more.
The Lost Gnome also hosts daily events. You can find the event schedule on their socials and website. The Lost Gnome is open Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
