ALBANY — A solid 10,000 or so country enthusiasts braved the brutal cold and packed the MVP Arena Saturday night for Rascal Flatts. The pop-country legends delivered a tight 90-minute set of hits and fan favorites to effusive audience response.
“Yours if you Want It” was propulsive, while the Journey-esque “Fast Cars and Freedom” was punctuated by some nifty lead guitar work by Joe Don Rooney. Following that, lead singer Gary LeVox lamented the partisan divide in America — an interesting statement considering his band performed at President Trump’s 2025 inauguration, a decidedly political gesture in these times — and then guided the band through a driving rendition of the midtempo “Stand.”
