SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The winners have been announced for the 10th annual Downtown Schenectady Soup Stroll. The event, hosted on Saturday, brought thousands into the city to sample bowls of hot soup.

32 locations across downtown Schenectady participated in this year’s stroll. After sampling, attendees were able to vote for their favorite flavors in various categories.
A panel of judges also selected their own winners. This year’s judges included Jack Carp from Two Buttons Deep and Around Schenectady; restaurant writer and commercial photographer Nellie Ackerman; and Capital Region dining critic for the Times Union, Stephanie Gravalese.

“This event has grown so much since it first began, and we are thrilled with the creativity and culinary skills that each of the 32 participating locations put into today’s event,” the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corp. said after the event. “We appreciate everyone who braved the cold weather to support our downtown businesses and are certain that after the incredible dishes that were served today, folks will be returning to dine downtown again soon.”…
