Ember & Cork opened in the former spot of Zen Asian Fusion Lounge in October 2024. Ember & Cork had the same owners as Zen Asian Fusion Lounge, with them bringing in Marc Alvarez as the Executive Chef and Director of Operations to help change the restaurant’s concept.

Ember & Cork focused on wood-fired cuisine, with the menu including oysters, crab legs, salmon, grilled Spanish octopus, Korean BBQ short rib wraps, wood-roasted chicken, grilled lamb, and more. The restaurant was also known for its wine selections, even getting the Award of Excellence in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards.
