Deadly Schenectady crash has neighbors demanding safer intersections

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — (WRGB) — Neighbors on Albany Street in Schenectady say crashes happen too often.

Tragedy struck on that road Wednesday night. Police say a 59yearold man on an electric scooter was struck by a vehicle near Albany and Elbert Streets around 9:30 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

A neighbor said they ran outside and began CPR, hoping to save him. Sadly, they were unsuccessful…
