More than 10,000 people — largely college-aged — packed Albany’s MVP Arena for A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on Saturday, Feb. 7. The chart-topping hip-hop star rewarded the Generation Z contingent with 80 minutes of fan-favorite material spanning his 10-year career.
“Friend Zone” and “Ransom” went over huge, the latter of which had much of the crowd recording selfies of themselves rapping along. The highlight of the evening was the compelling, high-energy triptych of “Timeless,” “Swervin” and “Startender,” complete with smoke, dancers and pummeling uptempo beats.
