COLONIE, N.Y. (WNYT) – A Colonie man is set to spend multiple years behind bars after arranging a murder-for-hire scheme against a Capital Region man.
Between November 2024 and January 2025, Jeal Sutherland, 58, used his cell phone to arrange the murder of a man who is the father of a child with his partner, at that time, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
As a part of the plot, Sutherland agreed to forgive debt of the person he hired to kill the victim. Sutherland also paid an undercover FBI agent posing as a hog farmer for use of the land to dispose of the body. Sutherland planned to dispose of the victim by having pigs consume the body…
