ALBANY — Excavators and drainage pipes sat on a dirt-filled lot scattered with snow on Northern Boulevard in Albany on Monday. The site was formerly home to a Red Carpet Inn and will eventually house a new apartment complex.
By summer 2027, the construction of North Gate Landing, a $92 million affordable housing development, is expected to be complete, said Dave Lanzillo, the vice president of marketing and communications at Conifer Realty, LLC. Conifer Realty is the developer of the project.
North Gate Landing, located at 500 Northern Blvd. in Albany, will feature 185 apartment units, Lanzillo said. The apartments will be available for households earning between 50% and 80% of the area’s median income, which, according to the U.S. Census, was $61,986 in 2024…
