Weather alert issued for snow in Capital Region, Hudson Valley Wednesday night

The National Weather Service issued a report at 9 p.m. on Wednesday for snow until 9:45 p.m. for Schoharie, Albany, Greene, Columbia, Ulster and Dutchess counties.

“At 8:58 p.m., an area of snow was along a line extending from near Jefferson to near Northwest Harwinton and moving southeast at 40 MPH,” according to the weather service.

Locations impacted by the alert include Waterbury, Torrington, New Milford, Kingston, Great Barrington, Hudson, Catskill, Saugerties, Rhinebeck, Hunter, Jefferson, Hyde Park, Canton, Pleasant Valley, Thomaston, Middlebury, New Hartford, Hurley, Claverack and Woodstock.
