Bob Ziter, owner of one of the Capital Region’s only remaining 24 hour diners has passed away at the age of 75. His family confirmed that he died on Friday after a brief illness.
The Times Union Reports that the death came as a shock to both customers and employees who saw Bob all the up until February 8th. Employees shared that he was always supportive of them, gave birthday cards and made sure that their children were well taken care of.
Having visited Bob’s a few times it always felt like stepping into the kitchen of a relative. The food was always great and the service was top notch. This is one of the last Diners where you really felt like you were part of a family when you were there. Now that Bob is gone a big chunk of that feeling for many in the Capital Region will be lost.
