SCHENCTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Schenectady Police reported on Monday that an arrest was made after a stabbing investigation last week. Hector Perez, 42, of Schenectady, faces multiple charges.

On February 13, police responded around 6 p.m. to Moyston Street near Hilderbrandt Avenue following up on reports of an assault in the vicinity. Arriving officers found a 30s-age man with stab wounds to his abdomen, who was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, according to SPD.
During the ensuing investigation, Perez was identified as a suspect, leading him to being located and taken into custody on Moyston Street on Friday night. He was charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon before being held ahead of further proceedings.
