Delmar family builds igloo for lasting memories

DELMAR, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A family in Delmar has spent the last few weeks using baking pans, tap water and food coloring to construct a colorful igloo. Dad Seth Reinhardt said it’s for a more important reason than neighbors might think.

The igloo is a joint effort for him and his wife Camille, designing and putting together the domes that their two kids Leto and Mayari now play in. It’s also part of their effort to create memories since Camille was diagnosed last year with Stage 4 brain cancer.

“It’s not curable, and we do know we have limited time,” said Seth Reinhardt. “We looked and we said, what can we do with this month?”

What they settled on was two rainbow igloos, that Seth Reinhardt say neighbors have described as a “gumdrop castle.”…
