WEST SAND LAKE, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Multiple fire crews are battling a fully engulfed structure fire at 43 Mall Way in West Sand Lake. According to West Sand Lake Fire Department, several businesses are a total loss.

Chief Lee Crosier said within two minutes of arriving to the scene, part of the roof of Crossroads American Grille collapsed. Crosier said that collapse landed on a firefighter, but she has since been checked out and seems to be okay.
According to code enforcement, the call came in around 3:30 a.m. for an active fire in the vicinity of Crossroads. Code Enforcement said the fire spread to neighboring businesses as firefighters struggled to maintain a steady water supply.
Crosier said crews attemped to use hydrants in the area but both failed, leaving them to utilize a North Greenbush pressurized line and a nearby lake for water…
