ALBANY — A city police vehicle was struck Wednesday morning by a driver on Central Avenue while on the way to a 911 call, police said.
The two officers were driving west around 10:55 a.m. to a reported shots-fired call with their lights and sirens on. They passed through a green light near Henry Johnson Boulevard when a driver heading east on Central Avenue made an illegal U-turn into the opposite lane, according to Albany police.
