Pizzeria Michelina, at 376 Delaware Ave. in Albany, has been closed since late summer after a fitful two-year run but is projected to reopen by the end of March, according to the new owner.
Karlo Busanic, whose experience includes the Waldorf Astoria and Statler Hilton, both in Manhattan, his family’s La Griglia in Windham and the past decade as a private chef, said he hopes to starting serving by mid- to late March. The centerpiece of his menu will be gourmet pizzas from wood-fired Valoriani oven, made in Italy and capable of running at up to 900 degrees, he said, adding that he also plans to make pastries and “Mediterranean and Adriatic specialties.” He said the menu will be released in the coming weeks…
