Albany police investigating stolen car crash on Livingston Ave.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany Police Department is currently investigating an alleged stolen car crash that happened Sunday night. Authorities said the incident occurred in the area of Henry Johnson Boulevard and Livingston Avenue.

Police were dispatched to the scene at about 8:40 p.m. following reports of a two-car crash. According to the department, a car that had been reported stolen on Sunday had crashed into another car.

The collision reportedly caused the second car to crash into the traffic control signal box and take out the traffic signals at the intersection. Livingston Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic as crews worked to restore the lights.

No injuries were reported during the crash, authorities said, but four people allegedly fled from the stolen vehicle. Albany police told NEWS10 that an investigation is underway into the individuals…
