The notorious low-clearance railroad bridge on Glenridge Road in Glenville — often nicknamed “The Can Opener” — has claimed yet another truck, tearing the top off a trailer and leaving a mess for crews to clean up.
The latest image was posted to Facebook on Thursday morning from a Scotia resident who captured the pic, “I suggest you don’t go on Glenridge, just happened at 10:30.”
Dozens of Strikes
It’s taken less than an hour for the image to garner thousands of reactions.
The Glenville bridge, which spans Route 146, has a clearance of just 10 feet, 11 inches, and has been smashing into over-height trucks for decades.
