Upstate is about to get a break from months of freezing temperatures.
The mercury could rise to 50 degrees on Saturday and National Weather Service meteorologists are predicting consistent above-average temperatures will arrive by the end of next week and stay through at least the middle of March.
The agency’s temperature outlook for the next 14 days says “well above normal temperatures are favored across eastern New York and western New England late next week into mid-March.”…
