Upstate New York Applebee’s to Shut Down After 10 Years

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar has announced another round of closures, including a restaurant in Upstate New York.

Over the last few years, Applebee’s restaurants, owned by Dine Brands, have closed select restaurants across the country as the company continues its long-term plans eliminate underperforming restaurants and focus on its higher-performing locations. This year, Applebee’s has already closed restaurants in multiple states, including Indiana, Missouri, and New York, and it appears more could be closing soon, according to multiple reports.

Applebee’s Closing in New York

The owners of the Applebee’s located at 268 Saratoga Road in Glenville, NY, have informed customers that after 10 years in business, they will be permanently closing their doors in April. Stephanie Griffin, vice president of marketing for the local Applebee’s, told WTEN,

“We greatly appreciate our Glenville neighbors’ patronage for the past 10 years and look forward to continuing to serve them at our 5 other restaurant locations in the Albany area.”

When Will Applebee’s Close?

The Glenville Applebee’s will officially close for good on Sunday, April 12th, 2026. Thankfully, all of the employees at the Glenville location were offered positions at the other Applebee’s restaurants in the area.
