ALBANY — Mr Bumbles Cafe, which earlier this month celebrated its fifth anniversary in a retail and dining strip of New Scotland Avenue, is aiming to open a new location by April 1 in the lobby of the office tower at 677 Broadway. The cafe space was operated until about a year ago as Primrose Cafe by 677 Prime, also located in the building, and before that by B-rads Catering as B-rads Bistro Express.
Projected hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, closed weekends.
Brandon Doran, the founding chef of Tipsy Moose Tap & Tavern, opened Mr Bumbles with business partner Tom Vacanti, a veteran educator and real estate investor who for the past two years has also owned the pub Dove + Deer in Albany’s Center Square neighborhood…
