ALBANY — A man who was a patient at the Capital District Psychiatric Center was arrested Monday and charged with attempted murder after he violently attacked another patient, according to an Albany police news release.
Police responded around 7:05 a.m. to the facility at 75 New Scotland Ave. after staff reported a violent incident between two patients. When they arrived, officers located a 55-year-old woman with severe facial and head injuries. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition, police said.
