Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — Firefighters in Schenectady stopped an early-morning fire from destroying a building on Albany Street, bringing the flames under control in about 25 minutes.
The Schenectady Fire Department’s Platoon No. 3 was dispatched at 4:38 a.m. March 4, 2026, to 1627 Albany St. for a reported structure fire. First-arriving crews found heavy fire venting from the first floor at the rear of the building and extending toward the attic.
