TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Rensselaer County native tested his luck on “Wheel of Fortune” Friday night. Patrick Casale, from Troy, spun the wheel and was able to walk away with some cash.

The Villanova University started strong, scoring the first “Toss Up” for $1000. While he may have walked away with third place in the end, Casale was able to give audience members and host Ryan Seacrest a good laugh with his banter about his recent cooking endeavors as a college student.
Casale said he’s taken up cooking in his free time, admitting that while the smoke alarms have gone off multiple times in the process, he’s been enjoying perfecting his skill. Most recently, he served up a delicious dish of cod. Next he hopes to make a gluten-free beef wellington.
