The free citizen notification app provides real-time push notifications for the following instances:

  • Emergency alerts: weather and road closures
  • Town news: upcoming meetings and services
  • Special events
  • Links to town departments and phone numbers

The app is available for download on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. “My NISKAYUNA” is powered by GoGov, which designs municipal apps across the country.

After downloading the app, users can also tap the “stacked lines” located in the top left corner of the app and enter their phone number and email address. This allows the town to have multiple ways to contact residents in case of an emergency.
