A viewer question is shining a light on another long-abandoned dry-cleaning facility in the Capital Region and the potential environmental risks that could come with it.
The inquiry comes just days after CBS6 reported on environmental concerns surrounding the former Ricketts Dry Cleaners site in Ballston Spa. Following that report, a viewer contacted the station about a separate property in the Town of Guilderland: the former Master Cleaners building on Western Avenue.
State records show environmental studies connected to the site date back to 2019. According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the agency reopened a reinvestigation into the property in April 2025. Test results from the latest review are still pending…
