Man admits to $2 million money-laundering conspiracy in Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — A Flushing man has admitted to a money laundering conspiracy in the Capital Region. Prosecutors say it generated more than $2 million.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Ming Xia, 41, operated Capital Region spas that were fronts for commercial sex services. He pleaded guilty on March 3.

Xia must now give up $198,000 in cash that was seized, plus two commercial properties and four residences…
