ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- A water main break on State Street in Albany has caused flooding at an restaurant.

National Grid and Albany Water Department crews are on-site near Broadway, working to address the issue. The break has led to water rushing into the basement of Jack’s Oyster House, a well-known city landmark.

Todd Shapiro, the owner of Jack’s, said the city owns the burst water pipe and noted Albany’s infrastructure is over a century old. Shapiro expressed hope that Jack’s will reopen in a day or two, emphasizing its 113-year history…
