ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Hitting 1 million miles on the road is a milestone that most can only dream of reaching. But it’s how a local truck driver achieved it that’s even more impressive. NEWS10’s Amber Fisher got to meet driver Victor Laux and his trusty ride.

Laux has been traveling with his rig, affectionately named “Black Beauty 2,” for the last 10 years. A million miles is equivalent to about 40 trips around the Earth.
“I’m in it for a week. I leave Monday mornings and then I don’t get back till Friday night or sometime Saturday morning. So, yeah, it’s my second home,” said Laux.
Driving a million miles is on it’s own a milestone, but Victor and Black Beauty 2 did it together, which is even rarer. Victor laughed as he continued, “It is my second wife, if you want to put it that way. I take care of her just as well as I do my first wife.”

The rig Laux drives delivers aircraft fuel for WDW Trucking. Through all those millions miles, he’s never been in an accident…
