ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Sometimes you plan it all out, and then life decides to take you on a different course. We’ve reached that point in this journey, as I will be leaving NEWS10 toward the end of May.

What a wonderful, fulfilling journey it has been here in the Capital Region. If you would’ve told a 20-year-old, clean faced, timid sports anchor, working his first ever TV job, that one day he would deliver the nightly news behind the desk with the Capital Region’s best of the best in a big time media market, I would’ve said, “you’re crazy!”
It kind of sounds weird to say, but I kind of “grew up” in my three years here at NEWS10. But really, I kind of did. Of course I did! I turned 40! But seriously, being handed the reigns of the 11 p.m. broadcast, covering my first ever elections, and, not news-related, but I married my best friend during my time here! I’ve loved every moment. Seriously. And I’ve loved each and every person who’s walked into this newsroom and makes this a number one station every day!

John, Lydia, Trishna, and now Cassie; they are just the absolute best people. I was scared entering NEWS10, knowing I was working a completely new position in the presence of Capital Region royalty. They made me feel so at home.
That’s why this place and this area will always be like home to me. You’ll always have a piece of my heart, Albany. Thanks for letting me hang out with you for a bit! Cheers!…
