Search of Hudson River comes up empty Saturday after report of person in water near Dunn Memorial Bridge

RENSSELAER — Law enforcement and fire officials were conducting a recovery mission Saturday after a person was reported to be in the Hudson River near the Dunn Memorial Bridge late Friday afternoon.

As of Saturday morning, State Police were in the water with a boat, and fire officials were utilizing drones in an effort to recover the person, Rensselaer Assistant Fire Chief Randy Cherubino said. Law enforcement officials were also still investigating how the person, whose identity remains unknown, got into the water, Cherubino said.
