Eric Williams, the Senior Project Manager, noted that the goals of the project are to enhance traffic flow, improve the safety of the intersection, and to upgrade pedestrian and bicycle facilities. They are working closely with NYSDOT to follow all procedures for cyclists and pedestrians to safely access and exit the roadway with this change.
Williams said tonight comes after a meeting this past December, and is primarily a discussion surrounding right-of-way, and acquiring property for the project. It’s a presentation of next steps, and provides the public with an opportunity to ask questions and speak one on one with engineers.
