COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The owners of a Scotia cafe are taking over restaurant operations at the Town of Colonie Golf Course. J&T’s Family Cafe will soon be expanding to Colonie with Iron and Ale Grill & Bar.

The owners are Tim Trier, John Zwack and Christina Julian. According to Julian, Trier asked Zwack about the opportunity to take over at the Town of Colonie Golf Course, so they jumped on it. The Iron and Ale Grill & Bar space at the golf course was previously occupied by Martel’s Grill.
J&T’s Family Cafe first opened in Scotia in 2017. Iron and Ale Grill & Bar will have the same breakfast and lunch menu as J&T’s Family Cafe, including their homemade soup flights and daily breakfast and lunch specials. Once they open for dinner, they’ll have nightly specials like Pizza Monday, Taco Tuesday, and Chicken Parm Wednesday.

“We are excited to introduce our soup flights out in Colonie,” said Julian. “I know the Scotia/Glenville area enjoys them!”
The owners are aiming to open Iron and Ale Grill & Bar at the end of March. To start, the eatery will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then expand to dinner when their liquor license comes in…
